Czech Paper Introduces Architecture of DPRK
Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The Czech newspaper Halo Noviny on January 21 carried an article titled "Architecture for people in DPRK" illustrated with photos showing the panoramic views of the People's Palace of Culture, the People's Theatre and the Rungna People's Pleasure Park.

The paper said:

The word "people" is being carried not only in the name of the country but also in the names of the state and local power bodies, the armed forces and security organs, health institutions at all levels and even in titles of honor and names of edifices.

The name of the edifice magnificently built on Nam Hill, an excellent location in the centre of Pyongyang, is the Grand People's Study House. Many people visit it regularly.

The People's Palace of Culture is located on the bank of the Pothong River so that people can visit it to enjoy their cultural and emotional life.

The modern People's Theatre was built on Changjon Street.

The name of the pleasure park built on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River is the Rungna People's Pleasure Park.

A library which was newly built in Kwaksan County is also among the edifices for the people. The three-storeyed library of peculiar style has an e-reading room, a room for combined lecture, science and technology exhibition, etc. It gives free service as just its name "people" implies.

The DPRK has already enforced people-oriented policies such as a free education system and free medical care from long ago.
