The poem said that reunification can be achieved if the Koreans reject the U.S. interference and pool their efforts in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself, holding aloft the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The poem went on:

The south Korean "government", obsessed with the anachronistic daydream of confrontation of systems, is fanning up the confrontation with fellow countrymen by slandering the north and scattering leaflets.

Recalling that 70 years have passed since the national division, the poem held that the tragic history should be terminated as early as possible.

The poem called for taking the road of the independent and peaceful reunification, the way for the Korean nation to live, free from the foreign forces' interference and domination.
