Big Efforts Paid to Aquaculture in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- In hearty response to the tasks set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year address, big efforts are paid to developing aquaculture in the DPRK.

Transplanting of high-yield species of tangle is coming to an end at aquaculture farms across the country.

The farms also strive to increase marine products, including mussel, scallop and trepang.

The Kumipho Offshore Farm and the Ongjin Offshore Farm set a ground to drastically raise the productivity of seaweeds by introducing scientific method of cultivation.

The Pupho Offshore Farm is stepping up the work to transplant and thin out tangle.

The Munchon Foodstuff Factory, located on eastern seaside, too, directs efforts to aquaculture.
