S. Korean Public Demands Measures against Mistreatment of Children
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- A demonstration and signature campaign are going on in Inchon, south Korea in demand of measures against the mistreatment of children, according to south Korean Yonhap News on January 16.

These actions are supported by people from all walks of life in south Korea, including South Jolla Province. They are conducting a signature campaign in demand of investigation into the cases of ill-treatment of children and severe punishment of perpetrators.

Even according to official statistics, south Korea witnessed more than 6 790 cases of maltreatment of children in 2013, causing the highest child mortality rate since 2001.

The number of those cases about which complaints were made had reached 10 240 from Jan. to Aug. 2014, an increase of 36 percent over the previous year.

2012 alone witnessed more than 8 400 child vagrants caused by the ruin of families due to abject poverty.

This miserable reality clearly proves that south Korea is the world's worst tundra of human rights.
