Minju Joson Slams Japan's Desperate "Claim to Tok Islets"
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the Japanese government posted on its website a video clip dealing with its "claim to Tok Islets," says Minju Joson Tuesday in a commentary.

It goes on:

The Japanese government took the above-said action though it was fully proved by historical and legal evidence that Tok Islets belong to Korea. This is aimed to stir up at home social concern for "dominium over Tok Islets" and create a favorable environment for its moves to realize the ambition for overseas expansion.

The Japanese ultra-right forces are working hard to prevent the enthusiasm to "grab Tok Islets" from waning among the people from the outset of the new year at any cost and, furthermore, step up their moves to realize the ambition for overseas expansion.

This is the reason why the present Japanese government is seeking to sharply increase the budget in the future for intensifying the advertisement about "dominium over Tok Islets" at home and abroad.

This frantic campaign staged by the present Japanese government from the outset of the year clearly hints at the political direction in the whole year and in the future.

The present Japanese government unhesitatingly dealt with the issues including the revision of the Constitution for allowing the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense" last year though the successive regimes dared not do. It is becoming vocal making a "claim to Tok Islets" from the outset of the year. The international community is taking note of Japan's behavior and expressing deep concern over its evermore undisguised scenario for overseas aggression.

If Japan persistently follows the anachronistic road in disregard of the unanimous demand of the international community for dropping its ambition for territorial expansion, it will experience the same tragedy as what it suffered 70 years back, the commentary warns.
