S. Korean Authorities Urged to Be Sincere for Mending Inter-Korean Relations
Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- Ro Kil Nam, representative of Minjok Thongsin, an internet newspaper of Koreans in the U.S., on Jan. 3 released an article urging the south Korean authorities to be sincere for repairing the inter-Korean relations.

The south Korean authorities are talking about south-north dialogue but their actual behavior is contrary to it, the article charged.

It was hard to find any word about the independent and peaceful reunification of the country in the recent New Year speech made by the south Korean chief executive, it deplored, adding:

If the south Korean authorities have a true will to mend their relations with the north, they should give a clear-cut answer to the question as to whether they want to peacefully reunify the country through the great unity of the nation from the stand of national independence or not.

If they fail to answer the question, it means they have no sincerity.

The present south Korean regime has never clarified its will to implement the July 4 joint statement, the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. If it screws up tension and hurts its dialogue partner as it did in the past, there will be no atmosphere of north-south reconciliation and cooperation.

The inter-Korean relations can improve only when the south Korean authorities take a sincere approach.
