S. Korean Authorities' Terrorist Act Denounced in Different Countries

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the French Revolutionary Communist League in a statement on Jan. 6 denounced the south Korean authorities for perpetrating such terrorist act as forcibly disbanding the Unified Progressive Party (UPP), a legitimate political party, and depriving lawmakers from the party of their membership of the "National Assembly" (NA).

It urged the south Korean authorities to cancel the disbandment of the UPP and restore the NA membership of the lawmakers from the party.

It also demanded them discontinue all search operations and scrap the "Security Law" which is trampling down democratic movement.

It extended full support and solidarity to the democratic forces and workers in south Korea in their struggle.

The Solidarity Committee of Unionists for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Austria in a letter of protest sent to the south Korean embassy in Vienna expressed indignation at the forcible disbandment of the UPP.

This indicates that the south Korean authorities are bringing back the dark fascist rule in the past, the letter said.

It urged the south Korean ruling quarters to retract the decision on disbanding the UPP, set free all those who were put behind bars for the mere reason that they fought for peaceful reunification of Korea and inter-Korean dialogue and abolish the fascist "Security Law."

This is the demand of the times for this year marking the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation, it added.
