Reporters and speakers said the New Year address of Kim Jong Un serves as a militant banner for demonstrating the dignity and might of Songun Korea in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu.

They underscored the need to develop such core basic technologies as IT technology, nano technology and bioengineering onto a higher stage with active pursuit and extraordinary conception as befitting scientists in the great era of Kim Jong Un and contribute to rapidly developing all sectors and building a people's paradise on the strength of science and technology.

They renewed their pledge to actively introduce scientific farming methods including water-saving farming, increase the proportion of mechanization of farming work, make dynamic efforts to increase fertility of soil to bring about a bumper harvest and thus discharge their duty as masters responsible for the granary of the country.

They underlined the need to make stock-breeding bases created thanks to the benevolence of the Workers' Party of Korea pay off and thoroughly establish cultured practice in production and life at factories.

They vowed to briskly organize socialist emulations among enterprises and fishing boats, increase the number of days sailing out fishing and bring about a big haul for supply to the people.

They said they would produce more goods popular among the people and with worldwide competitiveness and supply them to the people.
