South Korean Media Demand Stop to Anti-DPRK Leaflet Scattering
Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- South Korean media demanded a stop to the anti-DPRK leaflet scattering operations blocking the improvement of the north-south relations.

Kyunghyang Daily News on Jan. 8 urged the authorities to proactively check the leaflet scattering operations.

The leaflet scattering is nothing but a hurdle to the south-north dialogue as it aims at the "collapse of the north", the daily said.

Hankuk Ilbo on Jan. 8 reported that the hope for mending the south-north relations that had grown stronger from the outset of the new year was being dashed due to the leaflet scattering.

The paper accused the regime of not taking a correct stand on the leaflet scattering under the pretext of "freedom of expression" even though it had become a major factor of hindering the south-north dialogue.

Hangyore on the same day urged the authorities not to sidestep the leaflet scattering.

Seoul Sinmun on Jan. 9 insisted that it was a right thing to refrain from the leaflet scattering operations that blocked the dialogue between the south and the north.

KBS on the same day urged the regime to take a positive action, though belatedly, in order not to allow the continuation of the abnormal situation in which the south and the north were barred from having even a contact due to leaflet scattering.
