Birthday Spread Sent to Pro-reunification Patriot
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Marshal Kim Jong Un Monday sent a birthday spread to pro-reunification patriot Ko Kwang In, former unconverted long-term prisoner, congratulating his 80th birthday.

The birthday spread is associated with the deep trust in Ko Kwang In who came to the DPRK after serving decades of prison life with firm belief in President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il as his mental mainstay.

During the Fatherland Liberation War Ko Kwang In joined the people's guerrilla army and waged the sacred struggle to drive out the U.S. imperialists and reunify the country in the middle of which he was arrested by the enemies. But he kept his revolutionary faith and sense of obligation for more than three decades behind bars.

Leader Kim Jong Il saw to it that he was brought to the fold of the DPRK and that a watch bearing the august name of Kim Il Sung, the title of DPRK Hero, the National Reunification Prize and other high state citations were conferred on him.

Kim Jong Un made sure that Ko Kwang In took part as a representative in the celebrations of the centenary of birth of the President and celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, and is taking warm care of his life.
