Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Ki Nam and other senior officials of the party, state and army, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, persons of distinguished services and Pyongyangites.

Present there on invitation were the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, overseas Koreans, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations and military attaches of foreign embassies here and their spouses.

The performance started with prologue "We Offer New Year's Greetings to Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un".

The performers made deep bows to Kim Jong Un who has brought all sorts of happiness to the rising generation, representing the unanimous best wishes of all the schoolchildren across the country.

Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as sports dance "Snow Is Falling on New Year's Day", solo and pangchang "We Do Not Forget the Love," accordion ensemble "The General and Children" and fairy tale dance "Friends Who Met at Children's Hospital".

The performers staged folk games depicting cheerful New Year's landscape and happy schoolchildren receiving the universal 12-year compulsory education.

The performance ended with epilogue "How Better the New Year Will Be."
