Kim Jong Il Remembered in Britain
Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- A joint remembrance meeting took place in London on Dec. 14 on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

On display at the venue of the meeting were photos documenting his undying revolutionary career and exploits.

Also displayed there were books on his great personality.

The participants observed a moment's silence in his memory.

Michael Chant, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) who is also secretary general of the British committee for honoring the memory of Kim Jong Il, said the ideological and theoretical legacies left by him for the Korean people and other progressives in the world are really great.

A member of the Central Committee of the Socialist Labour Party of Britain said Kim Jong Il in his work "Socialism Is a Science" proved the scientific accuracy, truth and inevitability of victory of socialism.

The representative of the Korean Friendship Association UK said the august name of Kim Jong Il is shining as an outstanding statesman and iron-willed commander who developed and enriched the Juche idea and the Songun idea and laid a strong foundation for accomplishing the socialist cause by enforcing the Songun politics.

The chief of the northern district of the Coordinating Committee of the British Friends of the DPRK said although Kim Jong Il passed away, he will always be remembered by the progressives including those in Britain.

Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain who is chairman of the British committee for honoring the memory of Kim Jong Il, said the world people are confident of victory as Marshal Kim Jong Un, who is identical to Kim Jong Il, is steering the Songun revolution, foiling all the imperialists' base plots and moves to stifle the DPRK.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
