Wreaths and Floral Baskets Laid before Bust of Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Wednesday, the 97th anniversary of her birth.

Seen before the bust was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Phyong Hae, O Su Yong, and vice-premiers, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the KPA, working people and school youth and children in Pyongyang.

Laid before the bust were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet.

Also laid were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA, institutions of education, public health and media, a joint national organization of the Korean Children's Union, party and power organs and factories in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to the bust, recollecting the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Suk.

The chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front visited the bust to pay tribute to it on the same day.

Laid before her statues in Kim Jong Suk County, Hoeryong City and at Kim Jong Suk Naval University and Kim Jong Suk General Military Academy on the same day were floral baskets in the name of local party and power bodies, working people's organizations and units of the KPA and the KPISF, factories, enterprises, farms and schools, and bouquets.
