Kim Jong Il Lauded by Foreign Figures
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Seminars took place in the DR Congo, Finland and Sweden on Dec. 13 and 15 on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the DR Congo who doubles as chairman of the DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, said that Kim Jong Il's whole life was the one of a patriot who devoted his all to the country and its people.

He stressed that progressive mankind would always remember Kim Jong Il who added shine to the era of Juche and the era of independence with his outstanding political caliber.

Juha Kieksy, chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other speakers praised Kim Jong Il for developing in depth the Juche idea into the great guiding idea of the era of independence and defending Korean socialism by dint of Songun and bringing about a turning phase of building a thriving nation. Kim Jong Il was, indeed, a genius of thought and theory who aroused and led the popular masses to victory by dint of ideology, they added.

Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, stressed that peace and security could be ensured on the Korean Peninsula and the Korean people could more dynamically push forward the economic construction thanks to Kim Jong Il's great Songun idea and the self-defensive nuclear deterrent provided by him.

Messages and letters to Marshal Kim Jong Un were adopted at the seminars.
