Service Personnel, People Visit Kumsusan Palace of Sun
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Officials, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and people from all walks of life visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to pay homage to leader Kim Jong Il on Wednesday, the greatest memorial day of the nation.

They entered the hall where the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are standing.

Seen standing before the statues was a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Also placed there were a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The visitors paid tribute to the statues.

They paid homage to Kim Jong Il at the hall where he lies in state.

They went round the hall where the orders he received are on display, the mourners' hall and the halls that house a car, electric car, boat and train coach used by him during his field guidance and foreign trips till the last moments of his life.
