Concert Given on Anniversary of Demise of Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- A remembrance concert titled "Great life" took place here on Wednesday, the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The concert was appreciated by senior officials of the party, state and army including Kim Yong Nam, Choe Ryong Hae and Pak Pong Ju, chairperson of a friendly party and officials of the party, armed forces organs, Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, heroes and those who had the honor of being received by the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and merited persons.

Among those present on invitation were overseas Koreans, persons related to revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international bodies here and their wives, military attaches of foreign embassies here and their wives.

Put on the stage were numbers including narration "Story about the Family of Kubong Pass", female solo and chorus "Thinking of General" and dance and pangchang for cello trio "Attraction and Reverence".

Performers enthusiastically sang of the revolutionary life and exploits of Kim Jong Il who made ceaseless high-intensity forced march only for the people's happiness and the prosperity of the generations to come despite strong wind, snow and rain.

Whenever the tender-hearted image of Kim Jong Il was projected on the background of the stage amid the resounding of the hymn praising the great man, the audience clapped their hands. Tears were seen rolling out from their eyes.

The narration "Oh, snow in December" made the audience look back upon the unforgettable days of December when the people deeply grieved over Kim Jong Il's demise, lining both sides of tens of km route where they lamented, "Dear leader, don't go leaving behind this land and people you loved so much."
