Japan Accused of Trying to Keep Past Crimes Buried into Oblivion
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries feign ignorance of the past crimes, far from making an apology to the international community and victimized countries for them. They are becoming vocal asserting that historical facts are wrongly understood by people and they should be corrected, and the parts dealing with Japan's crimes were deleted from domestic textbooks and a whirlwind is being kicked up to suppress Japanese conscientious media persons.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a commentary in this regard:

This goes to prove that the Japanese reactionaries do not feel guilty conscience about the history woven with extra-large crimes against humanity and they have already been brutalized just like the past war criminals.

Japan can neither gloss over the hideous crimes nor evade the responsibility for them.

The primary political task to be carried out by Japan is to fulfill responsibility for the hideous crimes committed against humanity. It is nonsensical for Japan to discuss another problem except for this issue.

These days Japan is recklessly joining in the U.S. "human rights" offensive against the DPRK in a bid to divert elsewhere the international community's criticism of it. This, however, will never help Japan get rid of its predicament.

The flurry of rhetoric employed by crafty Japan to evade its responsibility for the past crimes would only touch off bitterer hatred of the international community towards Japan and this would precipitate its total ruin.

Japan would be well advised to behave itself, properly understanding the essence of the situation.
