Kim Jong Il Remembered in Different Countries
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Memorial meetings were held in Russia, Belarus and Uganda from Dec. 8 to 10 on the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Displayed at the venues of the events were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books introducing Songun Korea.

Present there were personages of a Russian university, the Belarus National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the Belarus Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and a command of the Defence Ministry of Uganda and masses.

They laid floral baskets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.

The head of a department of the Russian university praised the revolutionary life and exploits of Kim Jong Il, saying that December 17 is the third anniversary of his demise.

The chairman of the Permanent Standing Committee of the Belarusian National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il noted Kim Jong Il was the most outstanding great man who devoted his all to the well-being of the Korean people all his life.

The chairman of the Belarus Association for the Study of the Juche Idea said the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung and developed and enriched by Kim Jong Il was the guidelines for the progressive people across the world at the present time and in the future, too.

The commander of a command of the Defence Ministry of Uganda praised Kim Jong Il as the distinguished Songun brilliant commander who frustrated the hostile forces' moves to stifle the DPRK with his original Songun politics and protected the sovereignty of the country and the people.
