U.S. Should Be Brought to Human Rights Court: Scholar
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- It is 66 years after the adoption of the World Declaration of Human Rights, but mankind's desire to enjoy genuine rights has not yet been realized due to the arbitrary practices of the United States.

In this regard, Dr. Jong Song Su of Kim Il Sung University told KCNA:

The Declaration was adopted at the 3rd UN General Assembly on Dec. 10, 1948, which gave many peoples of the world the hope that they would lead a genuine life with independent rights and dignity.

So, the world people have marked this day as World Day of Human Rights every year.

But, at present the practical and urgent problems for human independence are disregarded and the human rights is still abused as the U.S.' political plaything and means for intervention.

Historically, the U.S. has persistently pulled up those countries standing for independence over the human rights issue while zealously defending its allies.

Styling itself an "international judge", it annually issues a "report on human rights performance" based on dogmatism and biased and groundless accusations to intervene in other countries' internal affairs and put pressure on them.

It is well-known among the world people that the U.S. has committed maltreatment, brutal tortures and other atrocities against the prisoners in its secret jails established across the world.

The U.S. intensifies the pressure, sanctions and military blackmail against other nations under the pretext of "human rights issue" only to attain its ulterior political purposes, but such moves are rejected worldwide.

Its intervention, aggression, sanctions and pressure can never break the desire and will of the world people to defend their rights for independence.

The world people should bring the U.S., the worst human rights abuser, to the international human rights court at once.
