Rodong Sinmun Blasts U.S. Planned Deployment of THAAD in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. has buckled down to establishing a missile defense system while getting vocal about "missile threat" from the DPRK.

The U.S. is taking issue with the DPRK's war deterrence, a manifestation of a cynical ploy to cover up its provocative nature, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a commentary.

It goes on:

A typical example is THAAD, the core of MD whose deployment in south Korea is being pushed forward by the U.S.

The puppet authorities are trumpeting about south Korea's own development of MD, while asserting the MD deployment in the U.S. military bases is irrelevant to them.

But it is not secret that south Korea's MD development is part of the U.S. missile shield policy.

The U.S. deployed strategic and tactical weapons that evoked sensitive response from the public in the past in its military bases only to stealthily hand them over to south Korea after the public uproar became calm.

The U.S. seems to employ the same trick this time.

The deployment of THAAD in south Korea amounts to inviting a nuclear disaster.

The ultimate goal sought by the U.S. through the deployment of THAAD in south Korea is to militarily contain big powers around the Korean peninsula and hold hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is quite natural that Russia and China are showing sensitive response.

The reality clearly proves that the U.S. much-touted "missile threat" from the DPRK is aimed to introduce nuclear war means to south Korea, build a missile shield and ignite a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia.
