Displayed on the front wall of the venue was a portrait of smiling leader Kim Jong Il.

Present there were personages of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten, the masses, the DPRK ambassador to Vietnam, his embassy officials and a friendship delegation led by the chairman of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association.

The participants laid floral baskets before the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il and paid respect for him.

The chairperson of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association said in a speech:

It is an event of important significance in glorifying the immortal feats of Kim Jong Il.

He was the great leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and the state and the people of the DPRK and a close friend of the Vietnamese people.

It is a significant event that the class named after Kim Jong Il was organized in the wake of that named after Kim Il Sung at Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten.

Its purpose is to let new generations of Vietnam learn after Kim Jong Il and contribute to the development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

An art performance was given by kindergarteners at the event.
