The contest will be held in Pyongyang, Samjiyon and other places. Players will compete in ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating and skiing games.

The opening ceremony was followed by men's ice hockey game between the Taesongsan Sports Team and the Pyongyang Railway Bureau Sports Team.
