Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Choummaly Sayasone
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting to Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), on Tuesday.

The message extended warm congratulations to Choummaly Sayasone, the LPRP and the Lao government and people on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the founding of the LPDR.

During 39 years after the founding of the republic, the Lao people have steadily consolidated and developed the people's democratic system to suit the specific situation of the country and achieved the signal development in all fabrics of the socio-economic life by fully displaying the spirit of patriotism, independence and self-reliance under the leadership of the LPRP, the message said.

The Korean people are pleased with this and sincerely wish the fraternal Lao people fresh victory in their struggle for adhering to the idea of socialism and bolstering the overall national power of the country, the message noted.

The message wholeheartedly wished Choummaly Sayasone good health and bigger success in his responsible work of leading the party and state, expressing the invariable will to further develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Laos, true to the noble intention of the preceding leaders and in keeping with the desire of the peoples of the two countries.
