Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted an article titled "Korean women yesterday and today" on its website on Nov. 13.

The article introduced in detail the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality which codifies that the Korean women have equal rights with men in all fabrics of political, economic and cultural life thanks to the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung. It went on:

This was a historic event which put an end to the unfortunate fate of the Korean women that had lasted for centuries. It was not until then that the Korean women enjoyed the equal rights with men as full-fledged mistresses of the country and society.

The position of the Korean women was put on a higher stage thanks to HE Kim Jong Il, the great successor to Kim Il Sung.

Kim Jong Il published famous works including the work "Women Are a Dynamic Force Pushing Ahead with the Revolution and Construction", putting the dignity of the women onto the highest level and making sure that the social trait of respecting the women prevailed throughout the country.

Thanks to his deep attention and state policies many Korean women could enjoy a dignified and proud life as patriots, heroes and pace-setters in the era.

The dignity and pride of the Korean women have been put on a high phase thanks to supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

He organizes national events on each March 8 International Women's Day, congratulating women.

He saw to it that November 16 was instituted as Mother's Day, adding to the pride of the women.

He made sure that a new hostel was built to provide the women of the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill with better living conditions.
