S. Korea: Unionists Protest Pension Reform

| Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The Government Employees Union in south Korea held a rally outside the "Saenuri Party" building on Oct. 28 in protest against the bill for pension reform, according to KBS of south Korea. The union declared it would stage a general strike, saying that the pension reform bill can never be accepted as it was unilaterally worked out by the "Saenuri Party" without having consultation with government employees. More than 200 heads of union branches conducted a haircutting ceremony in protest against the authorities' attempt for retrogressive pension reform. |
