Andre Lohekele Kalonda, secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from Oct. 25 to Dec. 17 and decided to organize various events including a remembrance meeting, seminar, film show and photo exhibition during the period.
