National Software Contest and Exhibition Close
Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The 25th National Software Contest and Exhibition closed with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition House on Tuesday.

Application programs for Korean-style operating system, machine translation programs and devices and elements needed for putting production processes on a CNC and automation basis which were presented by Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other educational institutions and units developing programs drew keen interest of the participants.

Highly appreciated were the programs presented by the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Tukjang Youth Coal Mine of the Tukjang Area Coal Mining Complex and other ministries and national institutions and industrial establishments which contributed to putting business activities on an IT basis and production processes on a CNC basis to boost production efficiency.

Brisk exchange of IT-based products and service took place during the exhibition.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, officials concerned and program developers.
