Anniversary of Hoeryong Revolutionary Museum Marked
Hoeryong, October 23 (KCNA) -- The Hoeryong Revolutionary Museum marks the 40th anniversary of its founding.

The museum has made a positive contribution to educating the people in the revolutionary traditions of Juche since its founding on October 24, Juche 63 (1974).

It made academic arrangement and data display in a fresh way and improved display system and form to comprehensively show the visitors the revolutionary activities of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of her birth.

It also arranged the room devoted to the field guidance provided by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il to the work in various fields of Hoeryong City and the room preserving slogan-bearing trees to help visitors deeply grasp the revolutionary feats of the peerless great persons of Mt. Paektu.

It built well the old home of Kim Jong Suk, successfully arranged Osan Hill, Mangyang Ferry and other revolutionary sites to their original state on the principle of historicism and has taken good care of them. It laid a firm foundation for eternally preserving revolutionary historic relics by studying and introducing advanced means and methods for preservation.

There took place a meeting marking the 40th anniversary of the museum Thursday.

Present there were Jon Sung Hun, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and employees of the museum.

A congratulatory message sent by the WPK Central Committee to the officials and employees of the museum was conveyed at the meeting.
