S. Korean Organizations Declare Their Action for Release of All Prisoners of Conscience
Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea together with members of at least 50 organizations including the People's Solidarity for the Repeal of the "Security Law" held a Thursday rally in Seoul on Oct. 16 for the abolition of the fascist law and the release of prisoners of conscience.

At the rally speakers said the Thursday rally has become a means for demanding justice, peace, human rights and independent reunification for decades since it started protest against the "civilian government" which ignored the release of prisoners of conscience.

The rally which started for the release of husbands and children thrown behind bars developed into actions for the release of all prisoners of conscience and they were escalated into a movement for abolishing the "Security Law" which produced prisoners of conscience on the basis of the awareness that law and system of society should be changed into just ones, they noted.

They declared that they would carry on their actions till the "Security Law" is abolished and all prisoners of conscience are set free.
