Birthday of WPK Observed by Bulgarian and Iranian Papers
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Bulgarian and Iranian papers carried special write-ups with photos of supreme leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 69th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The October issue of the Bulgarian newspaper Iskra carried articles with several titles under the headline of "69th founding anniversary of the WPK, victorious course of the Korean revolution".

The paper in the articles wrote in detail that President Kim Il Sung gave origin to the Korean revolution by forming the Down-with-Imperialism Union on October 17, 1926 and founded the WPK on October 10, 1945 by pushing forward the preparations for founding the revolutionary party in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

The paper noted in the article titled "Road of the WPK":

The WPK has covered hard and glorious path in the protracted period after its foundation.

The party played a vanguard role in building a new country after liberation. It guided the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists to victory and built socialism on the debris in a short period after the war.

It also built a powerful military power to reliably defend the sovereignty of the country from the aggression of foreign forces and achieved great successes in promoting the well-being of the people.

The history of the WPK is one of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu.

The October 2nd issue of the Iranian newspaper The Iran News introduced the nearly 70 year-long history of the WPK.
