The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea noted this in their joint statement on Oct. 3 to mark the 69th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The statement went on:

The WPK has successfully led the socialist construction of the Korean people for years since it was founded by the great Comrade Kim Il Sung.

So, Korea, once a backward colonial nation, turned into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence.

Thanks to the popular policies enforced by the WPK called the mother party which takes care of the life of the people, the Korean people are leading a happy life.

The WPK achieved unity and cohesion that can hardly be found among other parties in the world thanks to the Juche-oriented theory of party-building and energetic leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il and has grown stronger to be the party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il thanks to Kim Jong Un.

The WPK is now dynamically advancing for the building of a thriving socialist nation and national reunification under the uplifted banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism thanks to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Un.
