Brazilian Papers Observe DPRK Founding Anniversary
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- Brazilian papers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the 66th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Jornal da Cidade Industrial de Curitiba in the September 15-20 issue carried portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and photos of the President and Marshal Kim Jong Un together with articles titled "66th founding anniversary of DPRK", "Appearance of DPRK" and "DPRK, invincible country."

The paper in an article captioned "Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK" introduced in detail the exploits performed by him in the liberation of Korea and nation-building to be conveyed to posterity.

Kim Il Sung, who founded the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East on Sept. 9, 1948, wisely led his country and people for several decades at the head of the DPRK, the paper noted, and went on:

In the Korean war which broke out in less than two years after the DPRK was founded, the DPRK beat back the aggression by the U.S. which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and honorably protected its sovereignty and dignity under his leadership.

The DPRK successfully carried out the post-war rehabilitation and construction on debris and socialist construction.

We pay high tribute to him on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the DPRK which has demonstrated its might as an invincible socialist power.

The paper also carried photos of the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Monument to Party Founding, etc.

The 33rd issue of another Brazilian paper Jornal Mercosur allotted its four pages to articles and photos introducing the glorious history of the DPRK.
