DPRK: People Encouraged by Their Footballers' Successful Matches at 17th Asian Games
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- People in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are greatly encouraged by their footballers' successful matches at the17th Asian Games.

The DPRK is to compete in the finals, after its women footballers beat down their south Korean rivals 2:1 and men footballers Iraqi rivals 1:0 respectively in semi-finals.

Sin Won Il, manager of the Pukchang Area Coal-mining Complex, said:

Successful matches of the DPRK's footballers at the 17th Asian Games have greatly inspired the miners in the complex in their drive to boost coal output.

The miners are determined to further boost coal output in reaction to their successes.

Song Yun Hui, manager of the Migok Cooperative Farm in North Hwanghae Province, said:

Encouraged by their successful matches, farmers in the farm have redoubled their efforts in rice harvesting.

The farmers will finish harvesting ahead of schedule in the spirit the DPRK's footballers displayed in the matches.

Hong Jong Man, a coach of the Sports Team of Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce, said:

It is praiseworthy for the DPRK's footballers to advance into both the men's and women's finals.

Our sportspersons will put spurs to training, in order to glorify the nation's honor at international games, as they did.
