DPRK Women's Football Team Advances into Finals at Asian Games

| Inchon, September 29 (KCNA Correspondent) -- The DPRK women's football team beat its south Korean rival 2:1 in the semi-finals on Sept. 29 to advance into the finals at the 17th Asian Games. The DPRK team lost one goal at around the 12th minute of the match, but it mounted a fierce attack on its rival, not discouraged. At around the 36th minute Ri Ye Gyong skillfully kicked into the rival's goalmouth the ball passed by Wi Jong Sim from the right side of the goal area. Its second goal came at around the 3rd minute of the referee's time of the second half. When the south Korean goal keeper failed to catch the ball kicked by Ra Un Sim before her goalmouth, Ho Un Byol admirably kicked the ball into the net. The DPRK team will play the finals with its Japanese rival on Oct. 1. |
