Struggle for Independence, Peace and Reunification Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held a meeting in Seoul on September 22 at which they clarified that they would stage a more dynamic movement for independence, peace and reunification.

Mun Kyu Hyon, permanent representative of the organization, Kang Jong Gu, director of the Institute for Peaceful Unification, and others spoke at the meeting.

The organization has waged an invariable struggle for peace and reunification despite all sorts of suppression and trials for the past 20 years since its formation, the speakers said, and went on:

In this period actions were staged to build public opinion on such issues as the withdrawal of the U.S. forces and the abrogation of the alliance with the U.S. This can be considered as the biggest success.

They would as ever carry on their actions against the formation of the triangular alliance involving south Korea, the U.S. and Japan and for the conclusion of an agreement on peace on the Korean Peninsula, they noted.

They added they would advance together till the nation becomes one.
