At the rally speakers denounced the south Korean chief executive for calling for not discussing any longer the issue of the ferry Sewol while talking about the people's livelihood.

They said that they would stage demonstrations in demand of the resignation of the chief executive for the blame for the disaster with her tour of the U.S. as an occasion.

A joint statement of Koreans in the U.S. demanding the institution of a special law on the ferry Sewol disaster was read out at the rally.

There took place demonstrations of Koreans in New York, Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston and other places of the U.S. and in Ottawa, Canada on the same day.
