Rodong Sinmun Denounces S. Korean Warmongers for Their Projected Anti-DPRK Campaign
Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the south Korean puppet forces kicked off a provocative saber-rattling called an "event to mark the victory of the Inchon landing operation" in Inchon where the Asian games will be held, seriously chilling the atmosphere of the international sports games. And they announced that they would stage an "event to mark the anniversary of the battles in the area along Raktong River" from Sept. 24 to 26.

As regards the event, the puppet Ministry of Defense announced a plan for inviting people to watch the "restaging of "northward advance" and "experience the battle sites" in the area along Raktong River and for a street demonstration.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

This is no more than an insult to the idea of peace and friendship governing the international sports games and another provocation as it is aimed at escalating the confrontation by getting on the nerves of the DPRK and deliberately standing in the way of improving the relations between the north and the south.

The puppet warmongers left an indelible stain on the history of Asian games as they kicked off saber-rattling to reenact the past Korean war.

Their sinister intention is to tarnish the dignified image of the DPRK and obstruct the process for improving the inter-Korean relations.

They are working hard to fan up the atmosphere hostile to the DPRK by staging the provocative charade against it in the eyes of Asian sports persons and bar the reconciliation and unity from sprouting among compatriots during the games.

The projected event goes to clearly prove that the south Korean authorities are seeking to escalate the confrontation and tension and ignite a war, far from working for dialogue, peace and improved inter-Korean relations.

The south Korean authorities should not pay lip service to "dialogue" but stop hostile military acts against compatriots.
