During his visit Kang Sok Ju respectively met and had conversations with the vice-president of the Senate of Italy, the chairman of the Forza Italia Group of the Senate, the chairman of the Northern League Group of the Chamber of Deputies and others concerned of the Parliament, and the chairman of the Italian General Investment Group.

He also held talks with a member of the Leadership of the Democratic Party of Italy and the general secretary of the Communist Party of Italy respectively.

At the conversations and talks they exchanged views on the issue of boosting the friendly relations between the two countries in various fields and issues of mutual concern.
