DPRK's Birthday Celebrated in Peru
Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- A meeting for celebrating the 66th birthday of the DPRK took place in Lima, Peru on September 4.

Seen on the front wall of the venue were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Personages of Peruvian political parties, organizations and institutions and masses took part in the meeting.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Peru and his embassy officials and a councilor of the Cuban embassy in Peru.

The international secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Peru "Red Motherland" said that Kim Il Sung waged an arduous armed struggle to achieve the liberation of Korea and laid down a unique Juche-oriented line for nation-building, not wedded to ready-made theories, and thus founded the DPRK.

The general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru said the DPRK, though not a big country, has always won only victories in the standoff with big powers by dint of the might of unity. Really great are the exploits the leaders of the DPRK performed by setting shining examples of unity in the revolution and construction, he added.

The chairman of the Peru-Korea Friendship Institute for Study of the Juche Based Songun Policy said Korea centered on the popular masses has turned into the socialist country of Juche under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and it will continue shedding its rays as a country of Songun, socialist power as it is led by Kim Jong Un.

The chairperson of the Peruvian Association for the Study of Revolutionary Activities of Comrade Kim Jong Suk said the DPRK would always emerge victorious as it is steered by sagacious leader Kim Jong Un who is firmly protecting the sovereignty of the country and socialism in the standoff with the U.S.
