During the visit Kang respectively met and had conversations with the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, the vice-president for External Relations of the Group of Social Parties of the European Parliament, the assistant general secretary for External Relations of the Party of European Socialists and other personages concerned of the European Parliament and the European Union.

At the conversations they had exchange of views on the issues of mutual concern including the issue of developing the relations between the DPRK and the EU.
