Serious Human Rights Abuses in S. Korean Puppet Army
Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Serious human rights abuses are occurring in the south Korean puppet army, sparking off a serious social problem, according to broadcasting services of south Korea.

A 21 years-old private who was designated as "a soldier concerned" was found to have hung himself to death in a unit of the puppet army stationed in Sokcho City, south Korean Kangwon Province on September 6. Also found in his footlocker at that time was a paper on which he wrote his military service was very hard.

In June, a private of the 28th Division was severely beaten by his superior for the mere reason that he did not participate in a religious event.

The number of those who deserted from the barracks due to assault and harsh violence reached 3 000 in the past five years alone.

A sexual abuse against a woman in her twenties was committed at a guided missile brigade of the puppet air force on August 27.
