Foreign Media Observe Birthday of DPRK
Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- Foreign media carried special write-ups or aired special programs on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.

The Nepalese paper Arpan on Aug. 29 featured an article titled "Might of DPRK" illustrated with a photo of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The article said that on the strength of firm unity the Korean people gained victories in the anti-Japanese armed struggle and the Fatherland Liberation War and built a socialist society centered on the popular masses.

The great unity of the service personnel and people, the basis and dynamics of the Korean revolution, has served as a source of conviction in the bright prospect for building a thriving nation, the article noted.

The Bangladeshi paper News Today on Aug. 27 said in an article titled "Towards high peak of a thriving nation" that the DPRK, dynamically advancing towards the high peak of a thriving nation, would win a shining victory in the drive for the building of a thriving nation before long.

The Algerian paper Saut Al Ahrar on Aug. 16 carried an article titled "DPRK celebrating the 66th founding anniversary speeds up the advance for construction".

The article said Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK on Sept. 9, 1948 and wisely led the successful enforcement of various democratic reforms.

F. M. 90.5 Radio of Cambodia on Aug. 28 aired a program saying that Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK, built it into a prosperous socialist country.

Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il, successor to the cause of Kim Il Sung, developed the DPRK into an impregnable socialist power, the radio said.

The Cambodian state broadcasting service aired the same program on the same day.
