Congratulatory Group of Koreans in Japan Visits Mangyongdae
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the 66th founding anniversary of the DPRK visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. The group is headed by Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

It was accompanied by Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

Members of the group laid bouquets before the graves of the President's grandparents Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik and his parents Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok and paid silent tribute to them.

They visited the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum which houses historic materials and relics showing the revolutionary activities of the President and his family members in Mangyongdae.

They looked round historic relics at the President's old home, being briefed on the immortal stories associated with it.

Ho Jong Man said:

Visiting Mangyongdae, I feel irresistible yearning for Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.

He brought the liberation of the country to the Koreans in Japan who had lived with the grief of statelessness, and put forward them as overseas citizens of the independent and sovereign state.

I can never forget the great loving care and benevolence shown by him for the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.

The feats he performed by forming Chongryon and developing it into a model organization of the movement of overseas compatriots will shine forever.

We will usher in a new heyday of Chongryon under the leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, holding the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as the sun of Juche for all ages in high esteem.
