Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, president and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Sept. 2.

The message said:

I, on behalf of the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and on my own behalf, offer sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and the great people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the founding of the country.

The government and people of the DPRK have thoroughly applied the Juche philosophy to their struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country and achieving the economic development and the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula.

We the two countries have strengthened the political and economic relations, conducted brisk exchange and shared the view on the issues of mutual concern in the international arena for nearly four decades.

I hope that the bilateral economic cooperation and cooperative relations will grow stronger and the exchange more brisk on this significant occasion marking the founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Extending once again warm congratulations to Your Excellency on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the DPRK, I sincerely wish that the bilateral ties will grow stronger in all fields and everything will go well in your country.
