Remains of Patriotic Martyrs Buried
Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- Remains of eleven martyrs who dedicated their lives to the prosperity of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea and the country's reunification were buried at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery with due ceremonies on Thursday and Friday.

Among them were former general of the Korean People's Army Kim Yang Jom and former KPA officer Jo Sok Yong who rendered devoted services for the strengthening of the revolutionary armed forces of Juche and the development of national defense industry true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Also among them were former second secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Ri Thae Nam, former section chief of the Central Committee of the WPK Kim Hyo Sin, former president of the University of National Economy Son Song Phil and Ryang Sun Gil who rendered devoted service for the country's reunification.

Those who were honored to lead eternal lives included former director of the Control Machine Institute under the State Academy of Sciences Kim Sa Myong, former researcher of the Jongju Poultry Biological Medicine Institute Hong Wan Thae, former data researcher of the April 15 Literary Production Centre Yun Jong Chol, former writer of the Korean Scriptwriting Company Kim Se Ryun and former researcher of the Archaeological Institute of the Academy of Social Sciences Jang U Jin.

Officials concerned and bereaved families took part in the ceremonies.

Following speeches by officials concerned the remains were buried.

The participants laid wreaths and bouquets before the graves of the martyrs and observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.

The bereaved family members hardened their pledges to devotedly safeguard Marshal Kim Jong Un and perform shining feats in the drive for building a thriving nation.
