New Koryo Therapies Applied
Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- Many hospitals in the DPRK have applied new Koryo (traditional) therapies to take greater effect in treating patients.

The South Hwanghae Provincial People's Hospital uses Koryo medicines in curing abdominal purulent trauma, instead of antibiotic medicine.

The Haeju City People's Hospital No. 2 introduces electropuncture to the treatment of such lumbago as slipped disk and lumbosacral neuromyositis.

The South Phyongan Provincial People's Hospital proved successful in treating illness resulting from body chill and various complications by such traditional therapies as acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping. It also uses Koryo medicines, abundant in the country, in curing haemorrhoid.
