S. Korean Authorities Accused of Barring DPRK's Cheerleading Squad from Participating in Inchon Asiad
Beijing, September 2 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China Tuesday made public a statement accusing the south Korean authorities of barring the DPRK's cheerleading squad from taking part in the 17th Asian Games.

The statement lashed out at the south Korean puppet authorities for letting loose a spate of sophism to evade the responsibility for blocking the participation of the north's cheerleading squad in the Asian Games.

The true colors of the south Korean authorities have already been brought to light, the statement noted, and went on:

The action taken by them patently proved that they are abusing sacred sports and cultural exchange for their sinister political purpose and confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and blocking the national reconciliation and unity and the improvement of the north-south relations.

It also laid bare the double-dealing nature of the south Korean authorities who oft-repeat words "confidence," "dialogue" and "cooperation."

The Koreans in China cannot repress the bitter anger at their traitorous behavior of depriving the cheerleading squad of the opportunity to take part in the Asian Games, not content with fostering distrust and antagonism, disregarding the DPRK's efforts to improve the north-south relations and achieve national reconciliation.

The south Korean authorities will have to pay a high price for having worked hard to exploit even sports games as an opportunity of fostering the confrontation with fellow countrymen and distrust between them.
