Repeal of NSL Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Jaju Minbo on August 28 carried an article demanding the repeal of the "National Security Law" (NSL).

It is an established fact that the NSL is the evil law which can not be found in any other part of the world, the article said, adding:

Many people met grievous deaths and many of them have been subject to prison life, torture, forcible search, indictment, trial and other suppression due to the evil law.

Recently, a U.S. paper carried a sad story about a woman who was tortured in prison after being thrown behind bars on the suspicion of violation of the NSL in 1981. The story said she had to live in exile after being released as it was hard for her to get a job.

She was given a verdict of not guilty at a retrial three decades later.

The past history of a woman whose right was abused by the power is a warning signifying the urgent need for the repeal of the NSL.
