IS Flayed for Watching Bereaved Family
Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Voice of People in an editorial on Aug. 27 condemned the Intelligence Service (IS) for illegally keeping watch on a bereaved family of the ferry Sewol disaster.

The editorial referred to the disclosure of the fact that the IS has illegally kept watch on a bereaved family member who had staged a hunger strike for 40 consecutive days in demand of the institution of a special law on the ferry disaster.

It disclosed that the IS gathered information about his private life at his hometown.

The editorial branded such watch on a civilian as an illegal act.

Deploring that the bereaved family member is subject to unbearable insult, far from receiving consolation and apology from the "government," the editorial noted people could not repress resentment at the IS mercilessly abusing the elementary human rights.

From the historical point of view, the IS left no stone unturned for the security of the regime but its ill practices are going beyond a tolerance limit and it is making no scruple of preventing a special law on the ferry disaster from being instituted.

The editorial called for the disbandment of the IS in order to prevent the recurrence of the Sewol tragedy.
