Watches Bearing August Name of Kim Jong Il Awarded to Creators, Artistes
Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- Watches bearing the august name of leader Kim Jong Il were awarded to creators and artistes who successfully created and depicted the song "Sea of Apples at Foot of Chol Pass" as the masterpiece of the era and made contributions to ushering in a new heyday of the development of the Juche-oriented music art.

Marshal Kim Jong Un highly estimated the song as the most successful masterpiece and showed deepest trust and greatest loving care for creators and artistes of the Moranbong Band, seeing to it that the watches bearing the august name of Kim Jong Il were awarded to them as citations.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Pyongyang Grand Theater Wednesday.

Present there were Kim Ki Nam, officials concerned and officials, creators, artistes, teachers and researchers in the fields of literature and arts and art education.

Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, made an address on awarding the watches.

He called upon all the creators and artistes to bear in mind the warm benevolence to be conveyed long generation after generation, remain true to the party's Songun leadership through the creation of lots of masterpieces and glorify the new era of the Juche revolution as the heyday of the development of literature and arts.

The watches were awarded to writer of the creative room of the Moranbong Band Cha Ho Gun, its composer An Jong Ho, its singer Kim Sol Mi and its recordist Kil Won Gum.
